Well, I'm not really that much of a hard worker. We have a university entrance exam after we graduate from high school, and after you see how scored on it, you make a list of the schools you would want to go to and submit it. Then you're placed in one of them depending on your rank. So it's just a years worth of crazy studying. I wasn't that good a student in my previous years.

Of course, med school itself is 6 years of crazy studying, so..

Anyway, I live in Turkey, as you may know. Nobody here would probably know about my school..

I graduate in December of 2009, and I'll get my BS in Civil Engineering. I'll be glad when I'm out. I'm taking something called the FE Exam at the end of April. It is the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam, and it classifies me as an Engineer in Training (EIT). After four or five years of experience after gaining my EIT, I will have to take the PE exam, which is the Principles and Practice Engineering Exam. When I finish that one I'll have my PE, which will allow me to stamp drawings under my name. With that status, I'll be the one they sue if my bridge collapses.

Switching majors has been somewhat of a setback, but I'm really enjoying my new focus of study. Once I graduate I'm going to try to get a steady job and then dive into grad school. Possibly for teaching first, and then go back to grad school sometime later in life for Psychology (once i have more real world experience).

I don't know if this count, but had to go to a training for my job on Family Driven Care, which looks to better incorpate the family in the community residence/placement environment.

And I thought it was a great theory, and would love to see some of it implemented into my work place, but we just don't have the man power.

It also got me thinking about taking another course in life and focusing on behaviroal psych because let's face facts. I can be pretty damn good at getting people to do as I like. Why not use it to help people overcome things.
