Mine (Slim) is working fine so far. Haven't been looking for general reports though.
Plus I really like how the Slim looks compared to the Fatty. The Fatty looks like a video game console that happens to play Blu-Ray movies. The slim looks a Blu-ray player that happens to play video games. Take your pick.

I think that's one in the bottom right... I believe the Slim has no card reader?
That looks like an SD slot, not a USB port.
USB port = the only way to recharge your controller.
