Third parties are allready saying "**** you"

At first GCN had a strong backing, now it's slowly crumbling. If Nintendo has no plans to drop out of the hardware race ever, chances are that if they don't change soon they will have a system with 90% first party support.

I think Nintendo just isn't fit for the hardware/marketing side of buisness. If anything, Nintendo's best chance at a great future is probably becoming a Sony or Microsoft 2nd party. I'd much rather see that then a 3rd party or simply leaving all-together.

The sick part is that none of this has to happen, they just need some changes and they need to take more risks. Nintendo's "It worked last generation for them, so we are going to try it now" policy just won't cut it anymore.

if Nintendo goes down the drain, the game developers will find new jobs. the talent will always be there...the name 'Nintendo' might leave forever, but it's not like the developers will disappear with the company.

That's true... I just wouldn't like it if there were a world w/o an innovative version of Zelda at least once or twice a generation. I'd also miss Mario, AC, and even pokemon... if they sell the licences I think it could be cool, but if they drop off of the face of the earth It wouldn't be a happy time for me
