That very well may be, but you're missing out on a great thriller by skipping No Country for Old Men. The film has hands down one of the scariest "bad guys" you will ever see in a movie.

The movie felt like a TV show. It had TV show production feel all over it. It had similar production values to a show like 24. And yes, everyone was groaning after the 2nd or 3rd restart of events. It was like a non clever way to make a plot more complex by slowly revealing layers of information...only without the challenging aspect of not presenting the information linearly. It was like Tarantino for dummies. It was pretty bad.
But alas, it was just a movie.

Just watched Road House.
Had some really funny parts.
Though I have to say Patrick Swayze kicks like a girl

Wall-E. Very cute, would have been a great choice for (part of) a romantic date. But alas, she doesn't like movies.

Re: Last movies you saw
I finally joined the hip grown-up crowd and watched Taxi Driver.
Not ever having seen or heard anything about the movie other than the poster you see in everybody's house featuring De Niro dual-wielding guns, I was under the impression that the film was some crazy crime drama about a complete violent whackjob. And that someone in it drove a taxi.
I was right about one of those things.

My boss told me that 99% of Raging Bull is De Niro beating his wife.
But I'll get around to it eventually...

Haha, Scorsese is a fun director. In order of interest to me, I'd say go see:
Goodfellas
The Departed
Casino
Cape Fear
Goodfellas is all the more interesting since it is based off some true events.

Haven't seen any of them. Sucks to be me.
I did see Ferris Bueller's Day Off for the first time and part of Amelie with Audrey Tautou (sp?)

Re: Last movies you saw
I saw Harold and Kumar Escape from Guametela Bay.
And it is decent, but the movie is too self aware. The first one worked because it was trying to be an adventure. This one is trying to be funny, and when you do that sometimes you fall on your face faster.

Great feel-good movie. Hm, I haven't seen it in 2 or 3 years, even though I have it on DVD...

The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
This was my first post-TDK movie going experience (and paid for by the nice folks at my job) it wasn't that great. Has some really cheap looking special effects. And a story that's a lot of weird.

But you got to see the Harry Potter teaser on the big screen, didn't you?

Yes, exactly! And I finally remembered the name of the movie that the editors of Vantage Point should have sat down and watched before they did what they did -- Memento. Great, non-linear story-telling at its best.
