Meh, I don't see the Xbox One failing miserably, and here is why: Just like Nintendo, Microsoft has enough fans that for whatever reason LOVE their Xboxes, and wont buy anything else. There are people I work with that have been raving about the Xbox and when I mention some of these issues they either didn't even know about them or just shrug them off with something like "But the Xbox will have Halo" or some crap like that. Honestly I really do hope it fails because I think it pushes the medium in the wrong direction.

Also, I still believe that in the poorer communities of the world there are a LOT of people that don't have internet, and that could hurt its sales.

I think there's some loyalty, but not enough. The vast majority of xbox 360 owners jumped ship from Sony... an the fact that they're open minded means they're high risk to jump right back. If the Sony Bandwagon is big enough that is. lol

And I'm a bit worried about the lack of an official release date for the Ps4.

The only thing I wonder about this grave Microsoft is digging for themselves is whether it will be big enough to hold all the unsold Xbox One consoles.

Seriously, the backlash has been universally negative. I think even if MS did a complete 180, the damage may be irreversible.

The thing about the camera having to be connected all the time is more than just creepy, it's clumsy. Dealing with the Wii sensor bar pisses me off enough as it is. MS is the anti-Apple when it comes to the value of simplicity.
