I am claiming exactly that, I thought Tomorrow Never Dies was rubbish one of the worst bond films in the whole Genera in fact. I would go so far as to say I would rather watch On Her Majestys Secret Service. I cant really justify this, I just didnt like TND.
Admittedly, yes, I have only seen Quantum the once so on your advice I'll give it another go

Wait now you are making it sound like On Her Majesty's Secret Service is a bad movie when it is one of my favorite Bond movies?
What type of rubbish is this?

I wouldn't have wanted anyone to spoil the ending of Citizen Kane for me. And that is how old? 70 years?

No Country For Old Men
Liked the bad guy and the awkward/disturbing funny moments. I can just imagine that if they sped everything up to an average pace it wouldn't have received the same recognition it did. Did have some pretty shots...but have trouble seeing why it won best pic for that year. (Of course I didn't see any of the other nominees aside from Juno...which I hated.)

I was just kidding about the spoiler thing. Although I've never known those facts, I wasn't really angry about the info
I would also love to watch all the Bond movies, but I find it pretty impossible. I probably can't sit through 40 movies..

I'm happy for you... since you would only need to sit through 22 movies
Speaking of Bond, I just watched Quantum of Solace on blu-ray and I think its really does benefit from repeated viewings.
I think the thing with Quantum is a lot of the emotional crux is dependant on Casino Royale and with a 2 year gap in between the movies, it is easy to forget some minor details.
Like when Bond is on the plane drowning his sorrows in booze, he is of course drinking the Vesper, the drink he made up in Casino Royale.
Minor detail, but much more meaningful if you get the underlying tone.

Re: Last movies you saw
I saw The Dark Knight. 7/10.
I don't see what the big fuss was about. The Joker was a pretty good villain, but the rest of the movie wasn't half as good as Batman Begins.
Halfway through I thought "Ugh, there's still more than an hour left, boring!"
So can the fans explain what they like about it so much?
Anyway, I had feverish dreams of Batman... there were 30 of them and I had to find out which one was real. I hardly slept tonight. I'm a bit ill, so that's why.

Re: Last movies you saw
Hah, another person not impressed by The Dark Knight. In the last few days I thought I was going crazy.
Oh and I thought the Joker was best in the parts where we was just being funny.

Re: Last movies you saw
Went and watched Knowing last week. First half was OK, then it went waaaaayyyyyy out of left field and I just wanted to leave. Stayed though since it was kind of a disaster flick which I enjoy. This though...lordy was I not prepared for that.

Re: Last movies you saw
Some movie about this hairy guy with claws. The name escapes me. Shame they ruined my favorite character. Makes sense (about as much sense as the film can make) within the context of the film...but still.

I assume so, but he can't speak about illegal movies.
I saw let's see
Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer, an okay movie but it loses a lot on a repeated viewing.
Superman, a really solid movie that was one of the few superhero movies that clearly set up a sequel. I still hate the turning earth thing.
Cool Hand Luke, its funny how much 40 years can change something. The movie is good, but some of the "Extreme" moments are so tame by today's standards.

Re: Last movies you saw
I demand Teuthida post his thoughts on Wolverine: Origins. Does anyone know what source the movie is supposed to be based off of, if any?
