My friend lives in an apartment so he and I looked up this do-it-yourself guide for sound-proofing the drums for Rock Band. Because I guess they can be kind of loud for those paper-thin walls apartments are notorious for.

Anyway, we went to Michaels (craft store) and bought some foam rubber and felt. Just traced the drums onto them. Cut 'em out. Glued a few layers of foam together then glued a single felt layer on top for each drum. It worked pretty well.
