Quite good and helps you understand everyone's motivations and how they arrived at where they are in the first movie. A bit unfortunate it's missing the main two guys since it's a prequel and their characters are played by younger actors. The rest of the supporting cast are the same guys though and are nicely expanded upon.
Almost saw it in theaters since two of the directors were talking before and after the film...but those shows got sold out.
I liked the 1st and last parts a lot. The middle would have been good if it wasn't so long...and with gibberish translated into French, translated into Japanese, which you then read...it gets tiresome. All yummily bizarre.

Re: Last movies you saw
I happened to catch "The Invasion" in a hotel room the other night. It's a remake of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig.
It really wasn't very good. It kind of had a few "thrilling" moments, but I would have to say the best part was that Nicole Kidman wore some tight sweaters and looked good in them. Otherwise it was kind of a predictable, lame, and pretty timid zombie/alien flick.

Just watched the film 'Sunshine' a good sci-fi story if a little far fetched. The crew of a spaceship must deliver a ginormous bomb into the dying sun and detonate in the hopes they can revive the sun and save the human race.
The guy from 28 days later tries an American accent -
*fails*

The Ladykillers (1955) Better than Coen's 2004 remake.
Agreed.
I just watched Charlie Bartlett and it was alright, it was kind of illogical and required me to suspend my disbelief. It actually reminded me of Juno...a totally unrealistic film that was enjoyable because it was quirky.
Perhaps this is an emerging "indie" genre, the Quirky Teen Film genre.

Re: Last movies you saw
Tonight I watched an old classic that I have not seen in the best part of a decade. Glad I did watch it to, I was not disappointed, I think this film is great.
Romancing The Stone - Starring Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito.
Novelist Joan Wilder recieves a mysterious package from her sisters murdered husband. Inside is a map, leading to buried treasure. And as you can imagine a plethora of villians are after the map and hold her sister hostage in order to try and get the map from Joan. Que - adventure / romance story that entails.
Tomorrow night I will watch the sequal, The Jewel Of The Nile.

I watched The Elephant Man last night.
I thought it was beautifully done. It felt like a film made in the golden age of Hollywood. Great acting, beautiful black and white, and extremely touching without going over the top. It makes you think a lot about what Joseph Merrick (called John in the film, which is a mistake I guess) really had to go through in his life. Very good.

Waterworld.
But if you want a real version of it, that's better than the directors cut. The 'director' of which was kevin Costner who bought the rights to it and cut loads of shit out. (He was not the origional director)
You need to do a torrent search, it is the only way as there is no 'official' full lengh version, and look for 'Waterworld The Ulysses Cut' a version of which I have added to Demonoid.
I understand it is not perhaps normally acceptable to write this kind of thing on here but for this film it really does deserve an exception.
The Ulysses Cut is a fan made cut and a lot of time and effort has gone into it
