Worry not young man, I have little intentions to watch it any time soon.

I've seen every Simpsons episode (+movie), but I did not get it.

Blindness.
I actually liked it a lot. I thought it was really well done, true to the novel for the most part, and had none of those terrible dialogue metaphors that explain what's going on despite the fact you're watching it.
I will also say that the very end of the movie gave me a chill down my spine.
Personally, I recommend it. Rent it, not buy it.

Re: Last movies you saw
Eagle Eye.
This movie isn't what I was expecting. I will ruin parts of the story, so stop reading if you plan on seeing it for whatever reason.
Anyways, I thought it was about a group of people controlling what happens via satellites. Not at all.
Starts off with the government relying on a computer analysis to make sure a person in the middle east is actually the terrorist they are looking for - the computer says it's 51% probable, but doesn't agree with continuing the mission. The president says to send a missile to the group of people, and they subsequently die. Countless suicide bombings happen at American embassies and many people die. So after that, the basis of the movie is the AI (that said not to attack the terrorist, because it wasn't him) is using the Constitution (Specifically the part that says if any government puts its people in irreparable harm, the people of that government are allowed to overthrow it) to ratify the idea of this major plot to kill the top 12 - or so - people at the head of American government [via an impromptu militia of people doing seemingly random things to them], leaving the secretary of defense - the person who disagreed with the presidents option of killing the "terrorist", thusly agreeing with the AI, as the new President of the United States.
I find the concept pretty neat, and the AI (voiced by Julianne Moore) a cross between Glados and Hal. It's pretty good, I thought. You just have to deal with Shia The Beef for a while.

Knowing.
Jeeeesus Nicholas Cage just keeps going farther down the drain for me. The disasters that occur were amazing visually. I was surprised at how good things look, but it gets to the point where I can't stand the completely retarded secondary plot that becomes the cause of everything. It's sci-fi retardation. It really is.

A Scanner Darkly 6.5/10
It was worth watching because of the visual style. The rest was pretty boring.

I thought the movie was actually pretty good aside. It gets a little harder to follow but who knows. The book might have been better though. Haven't read it.

Re: Last movies you saw
Myeah I guess it has a decent story... in the end. But it's not one of those "Woah this is so unexpected and shocking!"-endings. I couldn't care much about it.
Acting was pretty good too I guess. Nothing special though.

Re: Last movies you saw
I actually found a lot of humor in it from how messed up those people were due to the drugs.

Re: Last movies you saw
Shortbus
"A group of New Yorkers get caught up in their romantic-sexual milieu converge at an underground salon infamous for its blend of art, music, politics, and carnality."
Sounds good right? Well, this came up on one of my roomies netflix recommendations list and she decided to add it. Low and behold it ended up being a very odd, homoerotic, nudity filled film that made me look away from the screen much more often than I anticipated...yet in the end, gave off a very "Christmasy" vibe after much turmoil and noise had dissipated.
Just know that within the first 5 mins of the movie you will see three penises, one of which is that of a man who jerks off INTO his mouth....no lie...

Re: Last movies you saw
In Bruges. 8/10.
Great acting by Colin Farrell. I barely recognized him.
And European cities are always interesting.
Star Trek: Insurrection. 6/10.
Blech I don't like Star Trek. Patrick Stewart and the weird skin-stretching race were the only things that made it interesting. Oh, it's very predictable. Halfway through you can already see most details of the ending coming.
Edit: A Scanner Darkly's bike gear scene was great.

Re: Last movies you saw
You should read the book. The movie took a few scenes and plays them out in full (like with the bike) but cuts out a lot that would make it easier to follow.
