One thing I've noticed so far in the debates and polls: How far the social conservatives have fallen. They are borderline irrelevant. I understand that Gingrich and Romney hold socially conservative views, but they are not the "champions" of soc cons like Bachman, Santorum, or that Perry pretends to be.

Pragmatic Libertarian views seem to be ruling the party right now, and I am very happy to see it.

Agreed; however, I think the social conservatives (really the Evangelicals) will enter back into the fold when it comes time to raise money for a national campaign against Obama.

Barry Goldwater would be proud, though.
