Any predictions on the Finale? I still think the Ricin is for Walt himself. Im thinking some sort of Murder Suicide but who knows really. It was an interesting twist throwing his old business partners back in there. Could just be a decoy. I mean it was obviously the thing that made him decide to not get caught there in the bar, and maybe it wasn't anything more than that.
Yeah, think that was just used as a motivator to not get caught, tie up loose ends (what became of Grey Matter), and reveal that Jesse is still alive since the blue meth is back.
Makes sense to use the Ricin on himself. I was thinking it was for Lydia, especially with how they always show her drinking tea.
I was imagining Walt goes to the Aryan compound, blows them all away, and maybe receives a few shots. Jesse is freed. He ignores Walt who is now dying. Maybe he's trying to convince Jesse to give the money to his family.
Cut in Huell asking if he can leave yet.
Credits.
I'm probably completely wrong. Aside from that last part.
I really liked the way they wrapped this show up...I'll go on record saying this might be the best show on TV, even if the ending wrapped up a "bit nicely" as some reviewers are putting it.
I think there's a lot of unspoken consequences to Walt's path of destruction. Even if the show wrapped up a lot of plot points, you know things aren't golden for a lot of people.
My only gripe is shows like Breaking Bad really make shows like Dexter and The Walking Dead look like dogshit. The writing AND use of cinematography in Breaking Bad is out-fucking-standing, and should raise the bar for all TV.
I plan to do a series rewatch at some point...but yeah. Just great, great stuff, and I got a little choked up and I'm sad to see the show go. Bryan Cranston is just one of my favorite people ever. Malcolm in the Middle will go down as one of the most criminally underrated TV shows ever, and his role as Walter White has been nothing short of spectacular.
