Default New TV trailers

Looks really really good. Wonder how it will be stretched out as a series though. Seems like it would make a good movie.

Reminds me of Fables a bit. I know ABC almost turned that into a show.

More fairy tales.

Will give it a try purely because of Hurley and Dr. Alan Grant. Similar premise to The 4400.

I'm intrigued.

Lost part deuce?

Comedies:

Any other new shows revealed peak your interest?

A really handy guide.

Now when do some of these shows start leaking?

Looking forward to Terra Nova. Steven Spielberg and dinosaurs, should be good.

What's that other Spielberg show, about the aftermath of an Alien invasion (with ehm the ER guy)? Also looking forward to that.

I might watch Guantanamo Bay (or what's it called), the trailer seemed interesting. And Dr. Alan Grant.

Returning shows I'm following:
Castle (season 4)
The Simpsons (season... 23?)
The Walking Dead (season 2)

I'm pretty sure the Pan Am show is just going to be an awful tween drama like Grey's Anatomy or Desperate Housewives. But I wouldn't watch it anyway because they are making the show all sex-ified. And I love sex, but MY MOTHER FUCKING MOM WAS A FLIGHT ATTENDANT FOR PAN AM DURING THE "GOLDEN DAYS." So yeah, my mom was okay lookin' and fit Pan Am's god damn sexist archetype they had back in the 60s before all the fat ugly people rallied for equal rights. I'm torn on that because now I get some dick gay guy serving me a bag of peanuts with 4 peanuts in it, and it's like lose the attitude fabio. Bring back the size-0 girls and the tight outfits.

But anyway, that show is just too Oedipus for me. No can do.

Also, that New Girl show looks annoying as fuck. 500 Days of Summer was the best movie ever, but Zooey Deschanel is an obnoxious hipster.

Is it just me or was the pilot of Terra Nova incredibly underwhelming?

I don't know, I didn't watch. Just saw the commercials and was turned off by the Dino CGI.

Is it just me, or is Jurassic Park 10 times better than all these new movies using CGI to make the dinosaurs? CGI fucking sucks. Go rewatch Jurassic Park. I think they used a lot of robot-animation stuff. That movie is tiiiiigggghhht.

I mean Jurassic Park holds up better than The Matrix.

The Matrix holds up better than The Matrix 2 & 3. Replacing bullet-time with CGI was a bad idea.

My biggest complaint about the dinos were that they were just plain boring. We've waited years for this?? It's 3 Brachiosaurs, 2 Carnotaurs and 3 supposedly superscary dinos.

Ugh, did anyone watch Terra Nova episode 3? This show is only geting worse.

I wouldn't mind wasting my time with the terrible story or boring cliches if at least the dinosaurs were pretty. But they're not.

Right, pretty much any close up shot of a dinosaur in Jurassic Park is a Stan Winston animatronic, except for possibly the eyes. So during the inital T-Rex encounter scene, most of the shots of it are animatronic. The scene where they see the Brachiosaurs for the first time, is CG. As a rule: Entire Dinosaur = CG, while Part of Dinosuar = Animatronic. Although some of the Raptor shots near the end may be exceptions, there may be shots in there that are the full raptor and they may be animatronic. The baby raptor hatching from the egg = animatronic. The Triceratops is fully animatronic. The Galymimus herd is CG. You can pretty much tell. And I totally agree, the Dinosuars actually look worse today than they did in the original Jurassic Park, which is pretty astounding when you consider that movie is almost 20 years old.

Since random person posted in this thread, we should just do a count of all the shows we watched and which ones survived their rookie season

Watched Awake and Once Upon A Time. The former isn't coming back. The latter is.

The only shows I watch right now are Castle and The Simpsons. I plan on watching Avatar when the season is done. Ah yeah I also watch TWD, although it's a love/hate relationship.
