correction.

I've always been under the impression that Amplitude was a 'Music-based sight and sound experience that owns people named Joe"

I've played the demo and it's shat-loads of fun...the 'brutal' difficulty is tough, and the demo doesn't even feature the 'insane' difficulty level

It also supports online play for both competition and co-op, and has 20-some songs.

All of those games seem interesting, I will have to rent them sometime.

I'm gonna rent Primal. I have no real interest in DW4...and I have Splinter Cell for XBox.

For those losing hope in PS2's ability to pump out graphics:

Primal is said to have some really pretty graphics, most notably textures (bump mapping looks present...), animations, and frame rate. It's a completely cinematic experience with a fair share of cutscenes and terrific voice acting. The downside, unfortunatley, is a less-than-stellar combat engine. And the puzzles are supposedly fairly easy and somewhat uninspired. Hopefully they'll beef up the gameplay engine for the sequel (if there will be one).

I don't know much, but I can tell you this:

A chick has her friend/boyfriend kidnapped. Something happens that she finds herself in a hospital, I think...and a living gargoyle appears and tells her about an alternate world. A world overrun by demonish figures...a world where she herself is part demon. The young lady, along with her gargoyle friend Scree, explore this world in all of its forms. The main character, in certain parts of the game, can transform into 4 different kinds of demon, and has new abilities at her disposal. There are at least 4 different "sections" of the world I believe...

I don't know how it's pulled off or any solid details, but I know that it's an action/adventure...think of a demonish world, with a devil may cry type of atmosphere with some humour and sarcasm.
