Movies of 2010
The 2009 movie season is almost to rest with the large major blockbuster being released on Christmas day so its time to look ahead to 2010.
Which looks like it will be a good year on paper.
The main tentpoles of the year include a sequel to Iron Man, Toy Story, Twilight and the first half of the final chapter in the Harry Potter saga, but let's start at the beginning.
You know that movie that happens to fall around Valentine's Day every year that a boyfriend/husband is supposed to take their significiant other to or force being shunned... well this movie doesn't even hide its intentions in the title...
Book of Eli. Denzel and Oldman, so the acting will be good...but think rather read/watch The Road for my post-apocalyptic fill.
Legion. Meh. Demonic creatures are nice and all but getting kind of tired of these heave vs hell things. Last one I enjoyed was Gaiman's and Pratchett's Good Omens. That would be a cool movie.
Daybreakers. Really looking forward to this. Like vampire movies done well...hoping will be good.
Valentine's Day. That's a lot of pretty people.
The Wolfman. Awesome.
Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief. Shall be listening to the audio book soon.
From Paris with Love. Meh.
Shutter Island. Looks cool but then again I'm a sucker for any movie that revolves around a mental institution.
Takers. They walk away from an explosion without looking at it so of course it'll be a good movie.
Bounty Hunter. Weren't they just in a movie together? I thought this was a sequel at first.
Green Zone. Didn't know there was another Bourne movie coming out.
Alice in Wonderland. Excited for this more now that I know it's not just a retelling but a sequel.
How to Train Your Dragon. Looks fun. Want to see.
Clash of the Titans. Never saw the original but this looks cool. Love me some mythological monsters.
Legion really reminds me of terminator, If onnly arnold was playing that one guy >D.
Daybreakers, sounds interesting to me and I want to see it, at least they arent going with the crappy glow in the sunlight vampire stuff twilight's pushing.
The Wolfman just looks freaking awesome!
Percy jackson, I would propably watch it but it looks like crap, with the "clever" product placement and all. Then again it does have Rosario Dawson in it, loves me that woman.
Shutter island looks promising, lets watch dicaprio die in the end, he has a high mortality rate.
Takers look like crap but highly enjoyable.
Alice in wonderland, normally wouldnt care but tim burton will make me watch it (I hated willy wonka) love most of his stuff.
How to train a dargon, I will propably watch this out of my love for animation but it looks very run of the mill, I like the viking designs but the dragon... not so much.
Just finished listening to the audio book of Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief. Quite enjoyable. Like a kids version of American Gods, except purely Greek mythology. Trailer looks like they changed a number of thing, most notable his age.

Re: Movies of 2010
I'm excited about...
The Wolfman: It just looks cool. I like the idea of a throwback to he older horror movies.
Shutter Island: I've just been hearing about it for a while now. Scorcese doesn't always do it for me, but this has potential.
Alice in Wonderland: I'm kind of intrigued, though recently I haven't liked Tim Burton's movies as much as I used to, but we'll see.
Greenberg: Directed by Noah Baumbach who did The Squid and The Whale and writes with Wes Anderson. Don't know much about it but it sounds like I'll like it.
Date Night: Well, it has Tina Fey and Steve Carell as leads, so that's enough to make me interested. Could also be super cheesy, we'll see...
A Nightmare on Elm Street: I still never really watch these remakes unless they get good reviews. Let's hope this one does too.
