Default The Crazies

"Loosely based remake" the '73 Romero film...

Looks like it could be fun, I plan on seeing it. Romero fans are oh-so-annoying (after 2004's Dawn of the Dead got lambasted), but Romero is executive producer on this. Perhaps this will be a good remake.

I thought the Dawn of the Dead remake was a great movie, and from what I remember it got pretty good review for a horror film. The Day of the Dead remake? Garbage.

The 2008 Day of the Dead was awful...was it even an official remake or just some director who got to use the original title? It was pretty bad with the jumping zombies and awful acting...and it just wasn't campy enough to provide enough laughs to make it enjoyable.

I loved the Dawn of the Dead remake as well. I did read some negative reviews though, and a lot of them seemed to be coming from super anal Romero fans. All things considered, the 2004 version of Dawn of the Dead was a totally different movie than the original....it may have had a similar setting but it was a totally different movie. And you gotta give the Dawn of the Dead remake credit for paying homage to the original several times. I loved it, thought it was a great film.
