I figured I'd mix things up a bit with a little trance. I have NO idea how I found Infected Mushroom, I just happen to know I stumbled across them sometime during high school and have been addicted ever since. Anyway that's neither here nor there, what's important is that Converting Vegetarians is an AWESOME album.
The album is split into two discs, the first disc is a trance disc which features some pretty standard Infected Mushroom psytrance. The second disc is more organic and experimental, and it features some excellent and interesting jams.
Some people are just going to find all psytrance boring. I find some of it boring. But Infected Mushroom know how to mix it up. There is a lot of variety in their songs, they change the beat a lot, and they experiment with sounds you won't hear anywhere else.
Highlight tracks: Albibeno, Apogiffa Night, Scorpion Frog, Deeply Disturbed, Converting Vegetarians, Avratz, Blink, Shakawkaw, Pletzturra, I Wish, Selecta, Illuminaughty, Jeenge, Elevation
YES. The second disc is much better than the first, in my opinion. If you want to snag one disc, go with disc 2.
Also, isn't Converting Vegetarians like the coolest album name ever? I think so....
(BOND and anyone else who might be a fan of the Doors, Infected Mushroom did a remix CD of the Doors, it's pretty cool)
