The Nerds are back, and they have a delicious episode on Tap for you. This week the Nerds look at the Summer movie line-up. With the armoured Avenger leading the charge, what stands out in this season? Bungie may be making headlines this week with the release of the Halo: Reach beta, but it was there deal with Activision that has the world talking, the Nerds tackle this merger and predict what will come out of the partnership. Finally in Cocktail Chatter, they look at the current day Watergate, what its like to be a Hero for a day and a tales of tits gone wrong. Seat back, pull up a chair and spend an hour with the Nerds

Listen and enjoy. The whole process went much better so you can enjoy a nicer longer recording that's easy on the ears.

Now that episode 2 is up for grabs, let's get cracking on what we should bring up for next week. I know we mentioned some stuff in episode 2, but if you would be so kind as to put that stuff in this thread along with any other suggestions.

Recording is set for 4-5 PM EST on Sunday May 9th. I know that's Mother's Day so if we can't get enough people to pitch in for that time, I'm more than willing to try for Monday night or Saturday night.

By the time we record this podcast, Iron Man 2 will be in theaters. Since we talked for a while about it in the last podcast, we should spend some time (maybe a whole segment) talking about it in this one. I'll be happy to come back and prove myself wrong (or right, as the case may be).

Possible Question of the Week topics: what do you think about 3-D?

Also, if we're ever in a slow period, we could do an advice column. I've got lots of fun letters we could respond to.

Iron Man 2 is a good idea.

I was thinking about doing a segment on Mother's in nerd-dom. Like popular maternal figures from like comics, games, movies, etc

If you talk about Iron Man 2 I'd put up a spoiler warning and maybe the start and end times for the discussion so folks can skip if they don't want to be spoiled.

I saw a prescreening of IM2, but I can't imagine anybody's going to want me to ruin it by talking about it, even if the podcast isn't released until after the official release.

Well like I had said we're gonna try and record it on Sunday or maybe Saturday or Monday night since Mother's Day is this weekend.

The sooner we establish a schedule for recording the better. We don't want this to go the way the old podcast did.

No suggestions, guys? Earl was saying that we probably shouldn't do IM2 since it would depend on people seeing it before Saturday or whenever we record.

Also we need a third guest for the show. Don't make me beg and plead to Earl to finally stop by to give his two cents for once.

I'm in, and I'll definitely be ready to talk about Iron Man 2.

I just want to say that I thought of Ask GameTavern as more of a second topic type of deal. It is, after all, a question submitted to "us." And I suggested it more as something to talk about when we have nothing else going on. Since we clearly have plenty to talk about this week, I would suggest we scrap the advice column for some other week and continue with each person's individual cocktail chatter. I personally thought it went rather well last time.
