It's all just an opinion... I personally had much more fun (for a much longer period of time, counting replaying the levels over and over and over and over again because it's so damn fun) with Medal of Honor: Frontline... and that's not even my favorite PS2 game...
Some might argue "Ooo Metroid Prime is so polished and detailed and wah wah" who cares? Games are there for entertainment... And Medal of Honor (among others... GTA3 and VC... still probably more) entertained me more than Metroid...

Did they also "entertain" you more than Ocarina of Time?
If I'm not mistaken, that's the comment you were alluding to here by stating Zelda is the best game since Oot only if "you have tunnel vision".
Or are you saying that AFTER OoT, you feel Medal of Honor Frontline was one of the best games since OoT?
If so, have you played Medal of Honor: Allied Assault at all?

As of now F-Zero GX is pumping the blood.

Re: At the moment I'm enjoying my Cube more than ever
I FINALLY got the last Triforce shard. Now I wanna kick that stupid Ganon's ass and throw the game in a corner.
Taking pictures for the picto-guy is just too annoying. The most cowardly person in town, WHO IS IT?? I've never asked for help in a Zelda game before...
And the round pale object?? Why isn't it the moon???
I'm getting MKDD today. And 1080 before the end of the week.

**************SPOILERS******************
Most cowardly guy is in the bar type place that's accessed by the steps. Whenever you break a pot in the bar, this guy quivers in fear, so start breaking pots and you'll see him, then take a shot!
As for the pale rounf object, it IS the moon, but you need the colour pictograph for it to work (and it needs to be a full moon!)

Re: At the moment I'm enjoying my Cube more than ever
It really just depends on what kind of gaming experience you're looking for.
I mean, for a long time was just playing the biggest longest games I could get a hold of. But lately I've been hanging out with my friends a lot more and playing a lot more multiplayer games.
Mario Party 5 is easily my favorite multiplayer game I've played for a couple of years now. It could be the people I'm playing with, but regardless I'm having a blast.
Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour is also an incredible game. Lots of fun had by all.
I've also been playing tons of DDR lately. My buddy built a homemade arcade style dance pad and we've just been beating the hell out of it (which won't matter because we're going to invest in some Red Octane pads before too long).
Aside from new games, though, I've been playing through a lot of old games now as well.
I've particularly been playing through the old point & click PC adventures (most of them based on the SCUMM engine: www.scummvm.org ). These include full voiced versions of: Sam & Max: Hit the Road, Maniac Mansion 2: Day of the Tentacle, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Beneath a Steel Sky, and The Dig.
So, a lot of variation for me. But my Cube's definately getting a lot of use with Mario Party and Mario Golf (and Rogue Leader now that I've got a surround sound system.

Re: At the moment I'm enjoying my Cube more than ever
ShadowFox... that had to be one of the most confusing posts I have ever seen from you.
Neither said any game is better than OoT, Jason just said that Metroid is the best game since OoT, and DsH said it isn't. Saying somthing is the best thing since somthing doesn't mean it's better than the first item, it just means it's better than anything to come out between the time the first game was released and now.
Key line: better than anything to come out between the time the first game was released and now
DsH isn't saying MoH is the best, he's simply saying that Metriod Prime isn't the best to be released in that time period according to his own personal tastes. IMO Metriod isn't even in the top 50 released. I enjoyed Madden 98-2004 more than Metriod... as for "objective" game quality, I think FFX, Metal Gear Solid 2, Gran Turismo 3, Zelda:WW, Halo, GTA 3, and GTA:VC (among many others) are better than Metriod.
So yes, I agree with the Dead man, it is all opinion.

Re: At the moment I'm enjoying my Cube more than ever
Hm.... well, sport games can be very fun, but I don't consider them super games.
Perhaps that's biased, but I just need a story, adventure and emotions in a game.
Sure, we had a lot of fun with Super Smash Bros, but I don't think it's better than let's say Eternal Darkness. Even though I've played SSB A LOT MORE.
Damn it, the guy in the bar is the most cowardly? And you need the colour pictobox for the moon??
I beated it yesterday night, the endig didn't make up for the rest of the game. Crappy story. Even though it was hard enough.

I thought Wind Waker had a great story...
But your right about sports games. They get boring really fast to me. Unless of course you're playing with friends. Then they're awesome.

Re: At the moment I'm enjoying my Cube more than ever
I think Sports games and fighting games can't be really listed as great games either... but either way I enjoyed it more than Metriod
this year in My EA sports titles I got 8 days in... or 192 hours ... and I haven't even got completly into NBA Live for NCAA March Madness yet. Also, I don't even feel like I have played half the time I played last year.
Games that rely solely on Replay value and not on there "story" or variety of gameplay never get counted at the greats... some do, like Tetris, but most don't.

Re: At the moment I'm enjoying my Cube more than ever
Well I gotta admit, I want to know what happens after TWW. The sequel better tell that. And give some more land... no crappy sea.
I enjoyed the last minutes of the game, where you're in Hyrule, more than all the rest of the game together... well, almost.
