True.

There are bacterium and such, and many plants which are asexual, but no actual animals (or so I recall).

I always thought an asexual person would either be a person who never has and isn't interested in sex or someone who can't have sex. An example of the latter might be a eunuch. I don't really know what the female equivalent might be, though.
