i am on xp
i was looking for activation crack and i replaced a file in system32 with a crappy one... i deleted the crappy one and the origional is on the admins desktop.
i cant get into windows it just stalls a black screen just before the logon screen
so i need to move the origional back into system32 then i think itll work

I can solve your problem: don't edit files where you shouldn't.

I agree with Bond, but try...

copy c:\documents and settings\administrator\desktop c:\Windows\system32

But keep in mind I haven't used DOS since I was about 5, trying to unzip ascii map files of Wolfenstein 3D

I know what crack you were trying to use. It said to boot into Safe Mode and change a system file right?
