Well, here I am. Finally made it to my own birthday thread. A little late, but I'm here none the less. Thank you's go out to all who posted birthday wishes. Special thanks to the slave for starting the thread.
Anyway, my day went well. The slave and myself drove to see the Urge in concert on friday and then we spent the night at my friends house. The next day (the 14th) the slave, my friend, and myself had breakfast at IHOP. (Never ending pancakes!) From then on, I continued east to St. Louis to visit with my family for Saturday night and Sunday morning while the slave headed on back north to Kirksville. Sadly we had to be apart for most of Valentine's day.
My time home was spent with my family including watching Bruce Almighty with my mom. Midnight rolled around and I became 21. I went to bed soon after the movie and woke up on my birthday to pack up and say goodbye to my parents before heading back to college.
When I made it here after my drive, I went to visit the slave. She gave me my presents and then we went out to eat. (Free dinner!) The slave dressed up for me and I can tell you the she did look very nice.
I was content just to stare at her for awhile when she first showed me the dress. I would post pictures, but she would most definitely kill me. I didn't have anything to drink. I was driving and we still had to go to Church. After a highly satisfying meal, we went to Mass.
After Mass, we headed back to the slave's place for a movie. Her roommate had bought some wine earlier and me and the slave both had a glass. My first encounter with alcohol wasn't anything to be proud of. I wasn't especially thrilled with the taste so I didn't drink much at all. The slave and her roommate of course made sure laugh at me for it. The slave also made sure to outdo me by drinking her glass of wine as well as what was left of my own.
And that's all I'm going to tell you about the night. I had a good time but didn't get even close to drunk. Laugh if you will.
