As for Gambit, interviews with the director have indicated that Gambit will only be making a small appearance because his attitude is too similar to Wolverine's and his power too similar to Cyclops.

His words, not mine. For some reason I wonder if this guy even knows Gambit's powers... Shooting a concusive beam from your eyes and charging objects with explosive power by touching them seem somehow different to me - maybe I'm wrong....
