The Calgary/Detroit series is going to be a waste, Calgary is gonna be out in 4. San Jose in 6, then again, Detroit in 6. It would have been better with Hedberg in net, Auld is bad down low, and especially the five hole. And sice their is going to be no hockey next year, this really sucks to have your team go out this way, and especially to a team like Calgary who doesnt deserve it.

Im not saying that they are a bad team, im saying that the Canucks deserved it more because we fought to win the title without Arvedson, Lindgren or Bertuzzi. And in the playoffs we fought back to a game 7 overtime without Arvedson, Lindgren, Bertuzzi or Cloutier. Im never going to be the same again, neither are the Canucks.

Because of this loss, Burke and Crawford are going to be fired for no apparent reason at all. They tried their best with what they had, and i say they should stay....Totally pi**ed off right now. Could not hate Calgary any more than i do right at this second

But at a sub-note, Ottawa, and Montreal all the way....or until they face eachother...then go Montreal!!

(and also think about this, If we had won Auld would be a Hero, but because he couldnt swing his stick, or not fall down so much, he is the Bain of evry fans existence right now. But i will say he's going to be a good goalie in the future.)...

not necessarily. If they work hard they could give the wings a run. Really, the preds gave wings a scare for a second there too, and i consider calgary better.

I don't know how much better Hedberg would have actually played for us. I do know that I'm still pissed a Crawford for the change in the first place, even if Auld did a giguere.

The flames deserved it more. They honestly fought harder with what they had than the canucks. Sure, we had some of our best players and #1 goalie out but look at the flames. They had just as many players out and they didn't have any depth to fall back on at all.

I don't see why Burke should even be considered as a possible firing target. He has built one hell of a team as far as I'm concerned. It's not his fault that our players were all injured.

Crawford on the other hand should be fired after his contract is up. The decision with our goalies is, imo, grounds for a firing.(even though the whole coaching/management probably had a say in it)

but singling out crawford..he is the one who's had a grudge against hedberg ever since he got here. He called berg 'terrible' after a loss in OT against Chicago....yet Cloutier's played much more worse games than that and crow doesn't seem to notice. Clouts is a good goalie...and so is hedberg. Crawford's just a dick. I don't remember if i already vented about him letting a personal matter get in the way of a professional decision on this board but you probably know what i'm talking about.

yes, go cdn teams. But hopefully Ottawa will get the farthest.

dunno, i'm not upset with his performance. He did as good as I expected him to. He needs to get a lot more experience under his built though. His play as a whole isn't very good.

it's too bad taht Hedberg won't be playing another game for the canucks organization...the guy deserves better than how it's treated him. Well, maybe it's a blessing to get away from the nucks franchise...he'll be better off somewhere else where his career has promise.

again, good luck to all your guys's teams in the playoffs.

sorry null but i'll have to be routing for calgary(but not totally totally routing)

they are a cdn team. cheers.

i doubt detroit will take them in 4. It'll be a tough series. no body wanted to play calgary going into the playoffs cuz they been on such a streak to get where they were. Vancouver got the unlucky spot of playin them. and without bertuzzi even worse.

I wanted to play colarado round one, playin a team like them brings out the best in the wings. Wings have trouble getting up for lower place teams in playoffs so it gets worrysome.

Hopfully toronto can take it tonight. GO LEAFS!!!!

Props to vancouver for tying it late the way they did tho.

[edit] just saw a vid of the OT for nucks.... Was Calgary on a powerplay in OT that early? how the hell did that happen? usually its hard as hell to get a call in OT

Jovo had a penalty during the last little bit of the 3rd period and it carried into OT.

Well, Vancouver actually took a penalty in the closing seconds of overtime, then they scored, but of course the penalty carried over to OT.

I hope the Leafs win tonight as well. The Flyers handled them easily in all but one game this year, and we've had much more difficulty with the Sens recently. Either way, we're getting a nice rest and it will be good to start at home.

oh yea.

forgot about that cuz it was 4on4 to end the 3rd. didnt want any of OT.

thats brutal. if it wasnt for that 4min penalty, i think vancouver would have taken the game.

Wasnt his fault on it obviously just a bad luck penalty.

Bouncer.....Crawford did say Hedberg was "Terrible" but that was only on one account, and he appologized for it...Honestly, and i dont want to make people mad with this, But the Canucks did deserve it more, if you look at Calgarys team. they have the Goalie with the best modern day goals against average, They have the leagues leading scorer, and they have a bunch of talented rookies or sophomores. We didnt really have anything towards the end of the year.

I like Crawford, i think hes a good coach and they should keep him, (i think) he has the best record for a Vancouver coach.

And for Burke, i didnt mean to say he would get fired, his contract is up, i meant to say they wouldnt re-hire him. And i dont know why, he kept a good team core together. And he got Linden back, if we switch GM's again, some of our good key players might get traded in stupid pointless trades.

So, since when did having less automatically mean that a team "deserves" it more? Sure, more people may be rooting for the team with less because they are the underdogs (which Vancouver really wasn't anyway), but it certainly doesn't mean that any team deserves it more than the other. If a team is well put together by management and coached well, they deserve it just as much as the team who doesn't have as much.
