TV purposes. ESPN has Sunday night baseball tonight at 8, so they couldn't have any late games. Plus ABC was showing playoff basketball, so they couldn't do any sort of switch there.

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!
Well on the news they said he can play again. and its ''possible'' to play again in these playoffs for Yzerman. But the wings have to stay in it long enough without thier leader to give him that chance.
my worry is that with the CBA thing next season if he doesnt get to play anymore in these playoffs, he might not be around after that to get the chance.
But either way they said he'll be ok and get his vision back to normal which is great for him.

Thanks cleo.
That's like saying that the yankee's are going to make the post season this year.
but yes, congradulations.
EDIT: and firing burke is won of the dumbest decisions that the Vancouver management could have made.
Crawford should have been fired before Burke. lameness.

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!
Anyone else keeping up with this Flames v. Wings game? Scoreless tie in first OT right now. Sounds like an exciting game (I can only get it on NHL Radio, no TV)
PS: Does it seem to anyone else that there have been almost no OT games this year? It seems like in almost every previous year there have been many more and longer OT games. I know the Flyers haven't played any OT games, and this really seems like a drought after they played three in their first series last year.
Edit: yeah, Calgary scored right as I posted that pretty much...

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!
Yup, calgary scores.
That sucks Null.
Calgary has had a great playoff run so far. Outplaying the higher skilled teams.

Re: Here comes the NHL Playoffs!
Nah, its fine.
Thats why i wanted wings to play Colorado. Wings are built for playing the best. they got no spark when playing the lower place teams.
When they play a lower place team nothing drives them to win. A shame but thats how it is.
Makes ya wonder how many of the older ones are going to be back next year. Which i dont mind, they got way too many top of the line players.
Hats off to cujo, Best game i've seen a redwing goalie play in a long long long time. He deserved that win.
Hopfully next year we stick with cujo. screw hasek.
