Well, yeah... Star Fox and all other familiar titles were loved for their gameplay rather than graphics because they were titles from the "ancients". I can't remember playing Genesis and Nintendo games because the graphics were stunning.

But, that alone shouldn't be excuse enough for old names to compete with the new without upping their graphics, y'know?

Not really to me. And who says I DONT rush out and buy NES games? I have most of the good ones, but if I see a classic at a pawn shop or a flea market, I DO buy it. Wanna know why? because gameplay is more important. And they are cheap.

SF64 is one of my favorite video games...ever. As long as the gameplay is remotely similiar to SF64, I think I'll love it.

I like how now Star Fox has a mixture of flight and land. Adds a fresh perspective to the game and looks pretty fun on land based too. And they also keep the flight based because its the classic gameplay. So I have no objections to the new Star Fox. Mixture of old and new keeps the series fresh.
