Re: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas...INFO
Well, I got really bored with GTA:VC.. but this one looks like a definite rent and a possible buy if they do it right. The game sounds massive. I can't wait for more details.

Re: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas...INFO
whoa.....these games are really starting to push teh PS2 limit.....thinking of kill zone and stuff, its going to be hard to create more complex games than these new titles.....hmm, judging by how far this is from VC, it might be a possibility that VC will appear on PSP....

eh, this does not look cool to me, too much of the same thing, except that they are getting to complicated, you have to eat and crap... that's retarded. Do you have to go to the bathroom, and wash your laundry too? I'm pissed that it isn't multiplayer or online. just more of the same stupid crap. next...

Yeah, because obviously they've given away ALL the details already of the game and it can't possibly be 2 player or online in any way... I'm hoping for a 2 player co-op...
And yeah, it sounds exactly like more of the same...

[Sarcasm]
Cuz you could totally ride bikes and swim in the other games. Man this is an EXACT friggin copy!! I mean, this game isnt going to be good at all. From what i can tell it will suck the most out of any game this year. I mean come on, GTA, thats been done before.

Re: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas...INFO
OMG! You can ride bikes! That adds so much more!
I don't know. I think there's probably going to be more new stuff than what Crash seems to think, but I don't think that new stuff is going to be quite as neat as you guys are thinking.
Why would you want to ride a bicycle? I mean, it adds somewhat more realism, I guess, but why take a pedal bike when you can take a motorcycle?
Burglarizing homes sounds cool, but only if you actually get to break in and ransack the dressers and stuff. You know, stake out the house and check when the people who live there are gone and such.
Eating and excercising just sounds tedious. I don't want to have to stop beating some old lady just because my guy's energy bar is low. Having to take a break and eat a burger is stupid.
And come on, I bet most of the people who are going to play this game are in desperate need of excercising themselves. Do they do it? No. How can video game developers possibly think the majority of people are going to respond well to being forced to virtually excercise?
However, the the different cities (and having countryside in between each) is interesting. A lot of road to have a high speed chase... Although they'd have to be careful about how much land is in between each city. Too much, and it'll get boring travelling between cities. Too little, and you might as well not have it at all.
Oh well. I'm probably not going to play it anyway; not for any long periods of time. I might check it out, but I've gotten bored with the two previous GTA games pretty quickly.

Re: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas...INFO
I have a feeling the eating thing would be as tedious as people think...
Eating will probably be as easy as picking up a gun (meaning run into a shop and either pick up the big glowing foodstuff, or running onto the pink circle and select it from a menu of sorts, like in VC)... And excersizing will basically mean instead of driving everywhere, travel on foot once in awhile... Which, I dunno about you guys, but I already do in GTA games...
I don't think rockstar would stick something in that would just be completely annoying...
But I guess we'll have to wait and see...
As for traveling between cities... The way I see it, there should be a loooot of countryside in between cities...
But for those who want to just get right to the action of the next city, you could hop onto a train or plane that would instantly transport you there... I personally don't think having huge gaps between cities would be a bad thing, I loves drivin'... And there could be farms and other various settlements out there... And with so much open space, there would be plenty of room for hard to find easter eggs and bonuses

Re: Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas...INFO
In my opinion the game looks great. I like true to life gameplay.
I highly doubt any of you pick up icons in the middle of the street to regain energy. it sounds awesome to stop at your local Grand Theftonalds and get a Big macadoozy.
Riding a bike seems mediocre, unless you want to do garbage can drops and stuff like in Friday..... piss off some locals and ****.
The gang recruiting and what not seems cool, but I really want a game as in depth as this to go 2 play co-op, so another person can aim and **** and do the shooting. Have split screen showing where 2 player is, and organize meetings and stuff.
Swimming is better... because I highly doubt anyone would die immediately from entering waters like in the older GTA's..........
San Andreas sounds like improvement, and the LIFE aspect of the game, eating, exercising is a + on my scale. I kind of gets tedious running around looking for health pickups. The closest GTA has ever gotten to realism in terms of life is the Hospital.... but thats well earned money wasted!
Robbery!! the pure aspect of criminology!!! I love that aspect...if we see in the gameplay actual robbery then thats also a plus. but if we seen a black screen and then 5 seconds later a message, "You have robbed the house and left with $500" that will just suck
I'm excited about this game, but right now it's not on my Pre-Order list.... I'll look for it in my retailers when it comes out.
