this is the one thing i've never understood about canada. They always want everything to be us vs ca, however they are the only ones that want such and it never turns out that way.

hehehe. i actually think most want calgary to win just cuz they're underdogs. so basically everyone is rooting for calgary anyway.

We want it as a country because the odds are totally against us...we have 6 teams....thats it.....and most of the time they eliminate the others..And maybe.....just maybe, this is a longshot....but maybe we all just really like hockey for the mostpart.

And im only like this for hockey, any other sport i only stand by one team....all the teams i stand by for are canadian...but still, the fact remains. And im pretty sure very few Americans ( besides on this board..yes im generalizing, so dont be a genious and say i am) probably want an American team to win as well...This is pretty much the only sport that Canada and the US play eachother in that we have more than one team...besides lacrosse..

( No i didnt forget the MLB.....the Expos dont count....)

I wouldn't be surprised if Tampa got sweeped, I thought that might have happened from the beginning. But then again, I wouldn't be shocked if either team won. But Khabibulin looked like a statue last night.

It is totally not like that. We are rooting for Calgary because they are the only Canadian team left, and we want the cup to return to Canada. We are not making it into a Canada vs. USA thing. Actually, you saying that is the first time I ever heard of Flames vs. TB as Canada vs. America.

In fact, isn't it like 62% of the players in this years finals are Canadian? lol. So if both sides win, its goin to Canadians, but we want the Flames to win so a Canadian team can have the cup for the first time since Montreal did it in 1993.

Well, America dominates Football, Basketball and Baseball. Hockey is one of the only major league sports that Canada absolutely OWNS, lol.
