I don't get what is so scary about mummies. They're rotting corpses. Just get a couple of necropheliacs and bam. No more mummy problem.

Zombies are pretty unstoppable. They're slow but can pretty much get through anything. Your best bet with zombies is to create a flamethrower like device. Some hairspray and match or something. Once they're all burned up they can't do anything.

Now with mummies, I don't think water would work. The worse that could do is just ruin it's outer wrapping. But the body within would still be fine. With mummies you either need to read out loud a spell so the mummie will be taken to the afterworld (like in The Mummy movie) or light it on fire just like the zombie.

And I think the reason both are so slow is because generally their bodies are pretty old and have begun decomposing so their joints and bones and stuff aren't going to work as well as they did when they were living.

You would still have a mummy problem, necropheliacs only have sex with dead people, so the mummies would only be delayed for a few minutes.

HA I was hoping someone would bring this up, you see the whole thing about mummies having a curse is a misconception. When archeologists entered tombs they usually had warnings like "Beware the Mummy's curse" so naturally hollywood gave them this cursing power. Little did they know that if Mummies actually HAD a curse, it would be the power to get up and chase their victims, nothing more than that, and as I said before, its quite easy to get away from.

Water might not work as GM said, but what would work is getting a friend to build a giant pit and leading the mummy into it, what the hell is gonna do now?

P.S. yes I have seen Aquateenhungerforce, and as I recall, it turned out the mummy didn't actually have a curse and it was just tricking the fry thing.

The archeologists all died because of the fungus of the mummy. That was the 'curse'.
