Reformat!

and just to be safe, reformat twice.

I've had my fair share of trojans and viruses(I don't really have a virus scanner and until just recently haven't had a competent firewall).

I love reformatting. Makes my PC run faster. Kind of a pain though.

lol...ok, if its a trojan like net-devil or subseven ( i think thats what it's called), then all you have to do is remove it from the registry and the file that he opened.
it could be in one or both of these locations in the registry:

1. HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

delete any keys that dont look familiar to you or look suspicious. be careful though, as you might delete something another program requires...there arre no windows system keys in here, so it's ok.

after you've done that, reboot your comp and it should be ok, if its not, you havent removed the file that has been downloaded or has been created by the trojan somewhere probably in the windows directory.

thats about all i know...you could also get an antivitrus to remove it for you, but i forgot the free virus scan website i use before...oh well, search for it on the net.
