ya i know that im just saying he would do damage but then die. Plus Predator has those two sword things on his wrist armor, and metal can't shut down or short circut so he could also use those for a quick but fatal strike before they melted.

This is an old story, and it really shouldn't be compared to Freddy vs. Jason.

It's been long worked into the story line that Predators breed Aliens for the sake of hunting. The idea, as I imagine, is almost as old as the original films.

Freddy vs Jason is more comparable to Terminator vs Robocop. The two were made to put two completely unrelated story lines together to settle a few sci-fi nerd debates (actually, it didn't settle anything) while making a few ... million bucks.

And back to Alien vs Predator. I assume this movie's story-line is going to take place during a Predator's "Rite of Passage". That is, the Predator hunter or few will likely send an Alien queen to a habitable planet... let it grow "a little" and then go down to dispatch it and take the head back as a means of advancing among the ranks.

The Predator is supposed to win. It was designed to win. I don't expect that every Predator would be successful, as that would make it a weak Rite of Passage. There are usually outside forces that make it difficult. Take, for instance... Marines. Yes, and that's where the fun comes in.

So no, this isn't your next Freddy vs Jason. The idea was long before Freddy vs Jason, and it has a respectable plot.

As for the movie? Yeah, probably a tie. Or the Marines will win.

Okieday. The website of the movie has the same poll, and Aliens are winning. Maybe the movie doesn't deserve more respect than Freddy vs Jason because they crapped it out the usual "Delayed 10 years" style. At least the story was cool for awhile in the 90s.

Oh yeah.

Ignoring the fact that Humans have beaten both Alien and Predator in their respective movies... it is seen that the Humans had a much easier time destroying the aliens with simple machine guns (in Aliens, the movie). Predator, on the other hand, was either not killed (in the second movie) or it self-destructed with a nuke (in the first).
