Re: Microsoft wants to buy Nintendo
I think they'd do it just to blackmail MS. But why? Is giving up your favourite Nintendo games worth it?
The same type of people said that Rare was a crappy developer, when they were suddenly bought out by MS. But you never heard them say it before MS bought them.
So you're right, Null, I think if MS bought Nintendo all of the hardcore Nintendo fanboys would start saying it "suxorz".

But you aren't technically jumping ship. You're just going where Nintendo goes. Jumping ship for you, would be like going out and buying a PS2 or Xbox w/o Nintendo games on it. And then saying it was your favourite console... that's jumping ship... I did it once before when I was fed up with the crap Nintendo was putting out on it's systems.

Re: Microsoft wants to buy Nintendo
For the record, I never said Rare sucked after the purchase. Hardcore people are the ones who did.
And as for you saying what some people thinking, Nintendo games "suck" if they moved to MS, its not that for me at least. It's just the fact that they sold out to a corporation who will in 20-30 years control everything but the government.

Wow.... Some people look way too much into videogames. lol. Just play games that are good, don't get into specifics.

not really. i heard people complaining about them being 'crappy' before that.... thing is then, the nintendo fans wouldnt admit it....i find the ones devoted to MS are the ones that make up that story more often then not. Show me something rare has done good since N64 and i'll be amazed. because since then Rare has been horrible... when they actually get a game out that is.
The fanboy stories can be made up however you want to look at it....
Nintendo fanboys said rare sucked only after they were bought..... OR...Nintendo fanboys wouldnt admit rare sucked while they were with nintendo.
MS fanboys suddenly stoped saying rare sucked when MS Bought them. OR MS fanboys would just never admit they were good before MS bought them.
A game is a game. who cares who makes them, if its good its good.

Re: Microsoft wants to buy Nintendo
No, we didn't HAVE an opinion on Rare before the buyout because there were no games. Only then did we realize, "hey.. they took forever with their games." And when we saw Star Fox Adventure, well..
It's explainable.

Re: Microsoft wants to buy Nintendo
By not playing Nintendo games or buying Nintendo products if they were bought by Microsoft, you would be displaying honor and allegiance to Nintendo. But if you did continue to play the games, it would be the same as serving the American side in Vietnam war. We were led there with a false purpose, it was not necessary for us enter battle there. The soldiers fell prey to their own leaders. The REAL reason for Vietnam was for the government to try their newly developed hallucinogens. And guess who the guinea pigs were? American soldiers. And the one of the saddest parts is the hallucinogens weren't even safe. They were created to make the soldiers fight harder, longer, and more fiercer. But it was a double edge, soldiers fought their enemies and each other under the evil effect of the unsafe hallucinogens. If my testament wasn't enough, then let a movie called Jacob's Ladder take you further down the hole of truth.
If you play Nintendo games under Microsoft ownership, you're being a misinformed, deceived soldier. And the punch you take, will be from the fist of a friend.

Re: Microsoft wants to buy Nintendo
GM, you are messed. You are comparing video games to a war? A god damned WAR. You know when people ACTUALLY DIE painfully and not the imaginary kiddie deaths that happen in your Super Mario or Legend of Zelda.
If you really take a video game that seriously... uh... what can I say? You need help?
