New Fable Screens

I'm still very excited about Fable, although I do believe it will suffer from over hype and long delays as far as sales go. I can already see the reviews being: "a great game that lives up to almost all the hype."

I've followed Fable religiously for about two years. I'm content with what I know, and so, have stopped following it. I have my Pre-Order ready and I know what to expect. Oh, and those screens are a month or two old

I only meant new as in they hadn't been posted here yet. They are the latest screens as posted by Big Blue Box, though, so I am content with their newitude.

I am so excited about this game that I will be buying an Xbox just to play it. Probably won't have it by release date, but sometime in the fall anyway.

Fable is a another reason why I love consoles. Here's why:

There are two games this year that I am rabidly looking forward to: Fable and Rome Total War. Now I know when I pop Fable into my Xbox, its going to be running at 100% of its capacity. When I pop Rome Total War into my PC, I have no idea whether or not its going to work well. I might have to get another 512 of ram to get it to run right. That sucks.

bit of an over exaggeration there the coin flips both ways on that type of subject because 5 years from now i'll be able to put in a game and run it on my pc, knowing it may not run the greatest, but will run. however 5 years from how to play a new console game i'll have to buy a new console. and that sucks.

True, but when the amount of ram you need to buy is the same cost as a new console or close to it, it amounts to the same thing. Example: I have a Dell with 2 Ram slots that have to be identical. Right now I have 256 in each. If I want to upgrade, I have to toss out both 256 and buy 2 512. Thats a new console... or two or three.

God forbid you need to get a new graphics card or a new processor. PC gaming is an expensive excercise with a very short half life when it comes to tech advances and standards. I got a brand new PC a year ago with a 256 ATI card, 512 RAMBUS and a 2.6 GH processor and I thought I would be set for a while... meanwhile it didn't take long for games like Farcry to chug my PC and even blow it out of the water.

Consoles are just a better value over a longer time. This isn't to say I don't like PC gaming, because I own more PC games than console games, but consoles are just a better value for what you get.
