There could be other uses for it. Could be used as a dual headset and mic so you dont look so dumb But yeah, I think its just going to be a standard headset thing but you never know what Nintendo will do anymore...
But it's already got a microphone built in. What would it matter if it had a head-set? It would improve the quality of microphone use, but if there's already one built in it seems kind of pointless.
Well, if you do stop being blind for one second, you will notice the picture next to the port of a headset. Thus indicating some sort of sound recognition, and headphones so you can listen to the games in solitude and peace.
