Re: PSP in action
I believe all forms of media for the PSP will be in HMD(not sure what that means though)
I would get this handheld but I don't think I could afford it.

Re: PSP in action
if the PSP is $300+, there is no way in hell I'll be buying one, unless it drops in price significantly (I know it does at a lot, but $300 USD alone is nearly $400 CAD, no god damn way in hell will I pay that).

Re: PSP in action
Thats too expensive to pay for a handheld. Waaaaay too expensive. I wouldnt buy it, even if i have been looking foreward to it, just because it will be like, $700 cdn. Do you know what you can buy for $700? A TV....a stereo, and a PStwo to go with your shiney new TV and stereo.
(And i think Deejz meant UMD, because the "H" and the "U" are right next to eachother.)

Re: PSP in action
it has no official price. show me the CDN$700 price tag you saw in stores.
I wont be buying the thing right when it comes out no matter what the price is...but the fact of the matter is, IT HAS NO PRICE. the only thing you can safely assume is that it will be more expensive than the Nintendo DS, and that's because of its advanced tech.

Re: PSP in action
Wow hehe. I'm glad Nintendo is targeting a much bigger audience again.
I think I know how this will go. PSP will have a reaaaaaaaally slow start, but as long as good games are coming out for the thing, people will eventually get it, perhaps after a few price drops. But Sony will lose money on it, I think...

If Nintendo's targetted that bigger audience in the past, doesn't seem like many of them were interested...

Re: PSP in action
Well.... considering that the GameBoy is the best sold console ever...
Youngsters can't just buy an expensive handheld (they spend everything on phones these days ), parents won't buy such a pricy thing for their kids, so that only leaves 20-40 or something. Right right right?

I don't think that the PSP will lose money. I think it will make quite good money. Not as much as the DS though.

Well most companies lose money on hardware when they first launch a new system, but the money they lose with hardware they try to gain with the software.
I think the PSP will sell quite well, Nintendo had better keep a close I eye on the handheld market.
Hmmmmmm............I think DS can bet PSP in the long run if Nintendo just markets it right and sells the idea of the two screens to the people.
