Re: PSP in action
Wow hehe. I'm glad Nintendo is targeting a much bigger audience again.
I think I know how this will go. PSP will have a reaaaaaaaally slow start, but as long as good games are coming out for the thing, people will eventually get it, perhaps after a few price drops. But Sony will lose money on it, I think...

If Nintendo's targetted that bigger audience in the past, doesn't seem like many of them were interested...

Re: PSP in action
Well.... considering that the GameBoy is the best sold console ever...
Youngsters can't just buy an expensive handheld (they spend everything on phones these days ), parents won't buy such a pricy thing for their kids, so that only leaves 20-40 or something. Right right right?

Right.
If I get either of the handhelds, the DS will deffinatly be the one I go for. The two screens is innovative, and they already have a huge list of software and there are quite a few of them I am interested in. Not to mention I can actually afford this one.

I don't think that the PSP will lose money. I think it will make quite good money. Not as much as the DS though.

Re: PSP in action
the psp is a bit smaller and thinner than the DS that was at last E3. The new DS model might be a little different in that regard, but either way the two handhelds are basically the same size all around.

Well most companies lose money on hardware when they first launch a new system, but the money they lose with hardware they try to gain with the software.
I think the PSP will sell quite well, Nintendo had better keep a close I eye on the handheld market.
Hmmmmmm............I think DS can bet PSP in the long run if Nintendo just markets it right and sells the idea of the two screens to the people.

Re: PSP in action
I don't think its selling the 2 screen idea to the people that matters as much, but more so as selling it to the developers of games. I just think too many developers might be too lazy to see how X game can work with 2 screens. But hey, this is a PSP thread. I'll leave my reply stopped there.
