I'm glad he's with the Red Sox. Just him alone wouldn't have lifted the Phillies to the World Series, but he can greatly help the Red Sox. I want the Red Sox to win very badly.

Re: MLB Playoffs 2004.
I wonder if the Red Sox would throw the series for a Klondike bar.

Re: MLB Playoffs 2004.
Just curious:
how many of you who are pulling for the Red Sox are actual fans and how many would like just like to see them win because of the curse (or other reasons)?

Re: MLB Playoffs 2004.
I actually like the Red Sox.
Ive liked them since i was like.....12. I got a baseball game and I thought Fenway park was an awesome stadium...it sounds wierd...but I started to liek them because of their stadium.
The breaking of the curse would just be better.

I'm not an actual fan, I like the Phillies. I just want them to win so the real fans can quit whining.

Re: MLB Playoffs 2004.
Cardinals have played like **** the first 2 games. The sox have made error after error(4 in both games) and the Cardinals couldnt really capatialize on any of it(at least not turn it into a win). They really suck amazingly on the road right now. Its pathetic really. Cardinals had the best record on the road in all of MLB during the season, now, pffft. We'll see what happens tomorrow though, its back in St. Louis.

Re: MLB Playoffs 2004.
I have faith that the cardinals will be able to make a come back when they're back in their own stadium. But, i'm worried about when they get back to Boston.

Re: MLB Playoffs 2004.
Well Boston is up 3-0 on the cadinals, and they are going to try to take it tonight! That was a horrible base running error by the Cardinals. Go Boston!

Re: MLB Playoffs 2004.
Ugh. Now I'm just hoping they win one game so it's not a sweep. What happened to the cardinals? These are obviously not the same ones that we have seen all year. Maybe it's the September Cardinals. Well, if the real ones ever return, look out Boston.

They're my second favorite team, so yes, I'm a real fan, but not as much as the fans who have lived by the Red Sox all their lives. I've lost interest in the Phillies, but to be honest, I never really cared for them because I was born in Connecticut, and even though my dad is from Philly, I just never got into them. I've always hated New York teams, so I kind of took an interest in the New England/Boston teams. I used to like the Patriots more in the past, but not as much anymore, and I like the Red Sox and the Bruins, but I don't really care for the Celtics.
The Red Sox and the Bruins are my second favorite teams for baseball and hockey..the Mariners and the Flyers being my favorites. Football my favorite team is the Eagles, and the Patriots aren't in my top five anymore. Anyway..this is all kind of pointless, I am a Red Sox fan, and I'm not one because I want the "curse" to be lifted.
