Re: The Grudge
I saw The Grudge tonight. All I can say is: WTF (especially the "ending")
Seriously, a new good horror movie will never happen. I admit there's a few scenes that kinda freaked me out in this movie, but overall it is just like The Ring... pretty dumb.
The thing about horror movies... I think every possible scary idea has already been used several times so they just aren't scary any more.

I agree...What is wrong with horror movies today and why can't anyone make a classic like The Exorcist, The Evil Dead, or The Shining these days? I love horror movies, and it's just sad to see that they've become more comic than legitimately scary these days. Don't get me wrong, I love the cheesy ones too, I'd really love another classic, scares me every time kind of horror movie. After watching The Shining again this Halloween my expectations are high, but it seems like somebody out there could do it...

Re: The Grudge
I guess it's just a difference of opinions. I agree horror movies these days suck ass, but I enjoyed The Grudge. It didn't scare me, I just liked it. I thought the art direction was ubertastic too.

Re: The Grudge
I thought the lead ups to each scenes individual climaxes were fantastic but each scene was ruined by the end of it being really stupid or exactly the same as the previous scene endings.
So each scene goes a little something like this:
scary scary SCARY retarded

Re: The Grudge
I'm not a fan of horror movies myself, but on the opening night of The Grudge when i was working, two girls came out of the movie about halfway, white, and shaking, they needed help to get to the fountain to get some water, so i'd say it was pretty scary. And uhh, theres a sequel to the Ring coming out....i just noticed somebody mention the original, and i thought i'd...uhh..

Re: The Grudge
My bed is directly across the tv in my room. Directly. I couldn't sleep the night I watched The Ring. So yes, it sucked .

My TV is a foot and a half from my bed. Not even.
That movie was hilarious once you get over it.
Me and Dylan watched the part where the closet opens with the decreped face like....10 times in a row, just playing it and skipping back...haha...good times.
Now if you excuse me Im off to go play Soccer....or for you Europeans, Football.
