Re: Ds Kiosks in stores
I was at Wal Mart today, and they had one of these baby's setting out, and no one was even near it! :O
I hopped over as fast as I could, grabbed the (teathered) stylus, and started playing some Metriod Prime Hunters. I had to navigate a few minutes first on the touch screen, which I actually found fun. If you can have fun playing with the menu's, then you know it's a good game. I felt like that guy on Minority Report, when he was using the large projection screen and throwing around menu's using his fingers.
After I got the game started it took me a minute to get used to the controls. I soon learned that I could move with the d-pad, shoot with the L-button, and aim with the stylus. If you are left handed you can use the four buttons on the right side and the R button to shoot, while aiming with the stylus.
I personally loved the stylus. It was the easiest way to navigate through an FPS that I have ever seen, even better than a mouse on a computer. I have never really been good at playing an FPS with a joy-stick, but with the stylus I was a crack shot, unable to miss anything. It offered a degree of freedom I had never felt in an FPS before...simply amazing.
