after watching him throw away (Eagles...Playoffs...January 2004) a good amount of games over the past 2-3 years, absolutely not. he can still light it up...but he's far too unpredictable/inconsistent.
Manning has thrown at least 2 TDs in every game this season, and never as many INTs as TDs. That is the kind of play to set your watch to.

BTW.
I Love watching Najeh Davenport run. It should not be physically possible for a man that large to move like that but he does.

^^^ me too. I really think Davenport should be a top runningback somewhere
give him 325 carries in a season and I say he goes 1500+ yards and 10+ TDs

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Green Bay has the WORST pass D in the NFL.
McNabb has a 151.1 QB Rating right now.
TD To westbrook, it just went up.
Edit: Actually, it went down because his YPA just went down.

Best first half ever. At least it's only 35-3 now, eh? Fantastic.

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
The packers have a bad habit of coming back, so don't get your hopes up yet - althoug they are out by 5 touchdowns.
If anyone can rally a 32 point come-back, it's favre.

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
not helping your 'Favre>Manning' arguement...
Peyton might break the record next week, but most likely two weeks from now
Best offense of all time...

The only thing that will keep Manning from breaking the Record next week is if he only plays 3 quarters. That Houston D is a sieve.
And hey, Chad ****ing Hutchinson. I literally cannot remember the last time a Bears QB threw 3 TD passes.
You're welcome, bond.

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
Mmmmmmm..........The Bears. I was so happy to see hutchinson throw some touchdowns, especially during his first game with the team. I give a lot of credit to lovie, because the Bears have been in shambles ALL season long. I'm surpised they've put together 5 wins......especially against a couple decent teams. The Bears won't go to the playoffs this year, but I think they'll win 2 or 3 more games.
We need to kick Detroit's ass. I don't know what happened earlier this season.
Overall, I think Favre is a better QB then manning.....but manning is having a hell of a year. Too bad his teams defense sucks horribly, otherwise I'd list them as a suberbowl contender.

The Bears have one of the better defenses in the NFL. They have one hole, SLB. They give up a ton of yards, but not a lot of points, and they get tons of sacks and turnovers. If Grossman doesn't get hurt or they start Hutch in week 4, they'd probably be 8-4 or 7-5.

Re: The NFL thread 2004-2005
It'll be interesting to see what happens next year. This year was supposed to be the big year for the Bears, but that never went as planned. I'm just happy that the Bears beat the Vikings and the Packers. Now all they have to do is beat the Lions and they own their division.
I really don't know who I want to win more. I think I hate the Vikings and Packers equally, so I don't know who I want to see go to the playoffs more.

Um.
According to whom?
Find me some publication that predicted more than 7 wins from the Bears pre season.
