You could just magically find another CD key on the internet... but that's illegal or something like that...

It doesnt ask em to type it in though. I did it when I installed it, and it worked, but now when I try get onto the internet for games it says "Invalid CD Key" and exits the program.

Damn you re-installation.

I'll do that as a last resort.

Try disabling the firewall just in case. Other then that, backup the save file folder for BF:V, and reinstall the game. If those don't work, get EA support to fix it. They will probably ask for the receipt or fax a copy of the cd key and/or sleeve with cd key on it as proof you are the owner.

It's very possible that someone might've opened the box at store and wrote down cd key. But if you can prove you are the owner of the cd key, they can just give you another key if they can't get it resolved for you.

Start > Run > regedit

under HKEY Local Machine > Software > EA Games

there should be something saved with the CD Key, make sure its correct in there.

Just Rip and Reinstall... Post me your cd key.. LOL J/K not Serious at all.. :P Really kidding I swear.. "You have a glorious heiny"... But thats what I would do typhoid.. It's easier then everything else..

I tried to find it in the registry, but couldnt find anything to do with a CD key...maybe im blind, maybe its non-existant.....who knows.

Hkey Local Machine > Software > Electronic Arts > Battlefiled Vietnam > Ergc > they default variable is the cd key

Thats fine up until the "ergc" part.

There isnt one....anywhere...

But then again, im not super computer saavy.


Ok..in the "Battlefield Vietnam" folder, there are things called:

(default)
GAMEDIR
INSTALLEDVERSION
LANGUAGE
LANGUAGEID
SRCDIR
SRCDISK
UNINSTALL

Then there are 2 more folders. Theres a "Battlefield Vietnam v1.21" and a "Battlefield Vietnam(TM)"

Both have one thing in them saying:


(default)



So im lost...so very very lost...
