Talking Re: Revolution Rumors (details leaked)

Ok Dan I think your thinking too deep.

Maybe he's talking about force feed back or something, because I just can't see Big N making a system where the controller that you have is used to tilt the controller to the side or front to make the person on the screen move.

Or maybe the revolution part is actually not using the A and B buttons
I guess we will have to wait until E3 to actually find out.

Gyros are delicious... but how will they incorporate it into a controller?

I already told you guys... touchpad with force feedback control... not only do you touch the touch pad, but you feed the feedback coming out of it.... if this is not what the revolution is, you can ban me from the forums....

This is so exciting. I'm really looking forward to E3 now because I have no idea what they're talking about.

I think the 'feeling' clue they're giving us is some kind of amazing function in the controller that'll create the feeling of whatever the onscreen character is holding. For example, if it's a racing game, the controller's backside will suddenly 'feel' like a steering wheel. If it's a Zelda game, your controller will suddenly feel like a sword or other weapon.

Just a guess.

I'm so happy to hear Super Smash Bros. will be a launch title though!

I'd take HD-DVD over any other medium avaliable, especially Blu-Ray. For all you who bitch about Nintendo going their own way on things (like proprietary discs), you should be praying for HD-DVD. It has great potential, unlike Blu-Ray. It is being designed to be backwards compatable with DVDs, so it has a greater change of being adopted by Hollywood, as well as being put into PC drives. And if movies come out on DVD, it increases the number of companies using the format, which leads to lower discs costs, which makes developers happy.

I just don't see Blu-Ray being sucessful. But this is all BS, the guy took already existing rumors and wrote about it. Just look at the way it's written, it's in the same manner that all the Dolphin BS was written in. It's the same thing every time, and the guy is always supposedly "credible" until he disappears after the trade shows.

I'm not saying HD-DVD will be "teh suxorz", I just prefer Blu-Ray for the fact its larger and makes it much easier for High Definition stuff to fit on 1 disc intead of multiples like current DVD's are. I'd like to have all 3 LotR movies, in high def, on 1 disc instead of 3 or more.

But I'll embrace either format. Companies need to stop bitching with each other and settle on one format.

The sad part is developers will be too lazy to try something new like this. It sounds great on paper but I want to see how it works in practice. Fighting games might be a bit tough but seriously, every console's controller has a weakness to some kind of genre.

I just seriously hope that if something with Gyro's is used and works well in practice, that developers think outside the box of A/B/X/Y once in awhile
