Next Xbox Named...

If they are so dead set on that name, I think they should at least knock the Xbox off the name and call it just the 360. Xbox 360 sounds more like an add-on for the current console than the next-generation microsoft offering.

The numbering scheme works for Sony since playstation in my mind is just another way of referring to a console, but to me Xbox always referred to the design of the current console and therefore, is too closely related to this generation to be carried on in the name.

Well they can't call it Xbox 2. Consumers in this country are so ****ing stupid there'd be people who wouldn't buy an Xbox 2 simply because 3>2 and we already know that the next sony system is PS3.

The name can be perceived as many things. Many people think it represents the power over the PS3 in numerical value.

However I believe thats how much it's going to launch at.... $360.00 and they are betting to sell about 360,000 of them...lol
