I can find plenty that hold the same amount or more for cheaper then an ipod.

but the reason they're not over priced is not cuz of that, its because of simply all they can do.

You WILL NOT find another mp3 player that can do everything an ipod can, that is as versitile as a ipod is, and has even a FRACTION of the amount of addons and accessories an ipod has.
the ipod is pretty much the standard for portable audio players, so all the accessories get made for it, even cars get made with ipod support.

Okay....so maybe I was being a bit over-the-top, Ipods are actually pretty slick, and I'm still considering getting one.

But, minus the standard, there are plenty of players out there that hold just as much space, and have just as good quality as the Ipod. And, eventually, the market will expand, and Apple will have competition. I intend to get a 40-60gig MP3 player around December this year...we'll see if I get an Ipod or not then.

but as i said, other mp3 players dont, and wont have all the accessories that the ipod has. they come and go too fast. I really like being able to say, would be cool if my ipod could do this. then looking up on the website, and seeing that i can make it do that.
