Square Enix to Join the Revolution

Square Enix Co., Ltd., a leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software including two of the world's most popular franchises FINAL FANTASY and DRAGON QUEST, has announced plans for the FINAL FANTASY Crystal Chronicles series to be developed for the Revolution, Nintendo's next-generation console currently in development.

The Revolution's promise of seamless interactive entertainment provided by the built in Wi-Fi system caught Square Enix's attention. The company decided to join the Revolution with FINAL FANTASY Crystal Chronicles, which was originally released on Nintendo's GameCube by Game Designers Studio, Inc, an affiliate of Square Enix.

"We would like to strongly support Nintendo's next-generation networking plans," said Yoichi Wada, president of Square Enix. "The Revolution may embody a new platform beyond a portable or console, which makes possible a new structure in the network gaming system, changing the ways communities are built and supported. This is the kind of direction we've envisioned, and we will challenge ourselves to provide immersive interactive content in response to what Nintendo offers."

More details regarding the new FINAL FANTASY Crystal Chronicles series are not yet determined and will be announced in the near future. So stay tuned...

Damnit either something was wrong in the linkage or they took the story down, basically it was the I believe editor/owner/whateverer of the site there who wrote a 'confession' that "Aries" is some kid not even out of high school yet who is a writer on their site...

But I believe had no proof...

then all summer long they can talk about a new megaton to be said at spaceworld. and when they get up to spaceworld they reviel the megaton!! spaceworld is canceled!

I don't know what to think. I guess this is a bad start to Nintendo for next gen.

I guess they are poor competitors, however I am still excited to see what they come up with.

You know what?

Even though Nintendo didnt really show a lot this E3, I still cant wait for the coming months. Sure all the games that that were shown weren't from the Revolution, but rather the GameCube, DS and GBA. The games that I'll be getting from Nintendo is plentiful.

So I'm satisfied with the current slue of games that are coming out for the GC, DS, and GBA...

I could go so far as to show just what games I want for everything... but I'll save that for another post. Sure I'm disappointed that Nintendo didnt show me everything about Revolution, but damnit will I be happy when they do, and I'm sure that I'll be getting those too. But just to know SOMETHING about the Revolution, and how is going to end up looking like, thrills me.

I just love how all consoles are coming out as, yes even the 360 (but I dont think I'll be getting that one though...

). So go ahead and bitch about how Nintendo isnt going to show more of the Revolution, I'll be right here waiting on it...
