She even called me last night for help. That's how desperate she is. I'm clueless.

I have no experience whatsoever with wireless networks, but have you tried looking at your browsers connection settings? With my DSL modem, I have to choose "Never dial a number" and set my DSL connection as default.

Edit: Ooops.. I didn't see your post about not being able to connect to the network. I have no idea about that...

if i understand, you can connect to the network but not to the internet.

if thats the case, it could be two things:

1. your browser connection settings
or
2. your hub connection settings.

you are able to connect to the network, so you're able to connect to the hub. but the hub can't connect to the modem.

so either your hub went back to factory default settings somehow and you need to set it up again to suit your connection. or your computer is using a different type of connection which doesn't exist to try to connect to the internet.

both cases have allready been addressed.

i would suggest you look into the hub settings once more though becuase i had this happen to me as well.

But she said that suddenly it's not detecting the hub. So her best bet would be to exchange for a new router.

She's going to France for a month and she wants to take her new laptop with her. Also, it's not very conveinent for her to use the PC she is using now. I think it would be helpful if she could figure out if her laptop will get the internet when she is in France on a different connection.
