what games do you control with the touch screen tho? none of the ones i've used do i control with it. (thankfully) i've been using it to do some other stuff in games. I agree with jonbo on that part, i wish there was a little something.

GP32 did well enough to them to make the GPX2, thats all about emulators and homebrew gaming tho, which im still curious if thats what this was supposed to be, because i cant really see it using games you actually buy and plug into it.. perhaps you'd have to install them instead of carry them around with ya. but then the games would just be downloaded.

Out of the games I own, Animal Crossing: Wild World can use it completely, and my girlfriend does use it completely. You can also use it for Advance Wars, Super Mario 64 DS, Feel the Magic XY/XX, Polarium, Yoshi Touch and Go, and a lot of others. The ones that don't really use it, that I know of, are Mario Kart DS, and Mr. Driller: Drill Spirits (because the touch screen just sucks unless you're a master of Drilling.) Castlevania also uses it a bit less than normal, what with the seal-drawing and all.

The fact of the matter is the DS doesn't need an analog with the touch screen. I hate having to use analog for racing games, so I can't imagine one for Mario Kart. For the racing games on my Xbox I just use the DPad. And on the PSP I never, ever use my analog unless I'm showing someone the features of it.

yes, yes it does. touchscreen is good for some things, dpad is good for some, and analog is good for others.

none of them totally replace the other.

For the next Gameboy, yes. For the DS, no.

I'll side with Null. Super Mario 64 was made specifically to take advantage of the analog joystick, and frankly, I found it easier to use the D-pad than trying to manuever with the touchscreen. If I ever buy another DS Platformer, I'm picking up a joystick thingy to attach to the Dpad.

for DS and the next gameboy.

infact, IMO, the reason nintendo will put one on thier next handheld is because of the DS needing one.

its not a major issue, but most people will agree, some kind of analog stick woulda been helpful.

but of course your right, nintendo can do no wrong, everything they do is the way it should be.

Nintendo knew very well that they weren't including one with the DS. Why do you think they including a thumb strap with every single DS?

This is getting redundant.
