Re: Super Mario RPG vs Paper Mario vs Mario and Luigi
Super Mario RPG is just awesome. Paper Mario is terrible. I couldn't even force myself through the game. Mario and Luigi is mildly entertaining but I didn't finish it. It's way better than Paper Mario.

Re: Super Mario RPG vs Paper Mario vs Mario and Luigi
I have never been able to beat SMRPG. I don't know why.
I've only just recently begun plaing Mario & Luigi for the DS, and I'm enjoying it.
Never played either Paper Mario game.

Re: Super Mario RPG vs Paper Mario vs Mario and Luigi
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars is a timeless classic no game can compare to. Such memorable additions to the Mario Universe such as Mallow, Geno, and Booster helped along a brilliant storyline with multiple plot rotations, complimenting impeccable gameplay suited for all types of players - newer players to the RPG genre and peppered, experienced players looking for a much-needed square/nintendo hybrid game. Not only does this game kick Kingdom Hearts' ass at the hybrid genre, it stands as a blistering beacon of when gaming was good and fruitful.
Paper Mario was ok.
Mario and Luigi was funny.

Didn't Super Mario RPG have like some weird level cap, where you couldn't go past like 65 or something.
I can't remember which game but there was one with an odd number like that

Re: Super Mario RPG vs Paper Mario vs Mario and Luigi
I loved Superstar Saga on the GBA, played through it twice. Never played it on the DS.
Currently playing SMRPG on an emulator, and I like it a lot.
Never played a Paper Mario game. Thinking about playing it on an emulator after I've finished SMRPG.

Re: Super Mario RPG vs Paper Mario vs Mario and Luigi
I have not finished any of these three. But I think SuperStar Saga was my favorite.
I liked SMRPG but then my little brothers lost it.
I hated Paper Mario. Played it for a while, have gone back to it a few times, and have never been able to play it for long because I just didn't enjoy it.
I like Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga. I've enjoyed playing it although I got stuck on a part a little while ago and have not gotten back to it to finish the game.

I may be out of place or you may just be referring to games from Nintendo. But there are so many other timeless classics that can compare and can probably over throw SMRPG...
First... I can name one RPG on Nintendo that does compare, and thats the classic Chrono Trigger from SNES. If I would jump over the console barrier I would go on to name Suikoden 1 for PlayStation.
Hmmm...or are you just referring to Mario RPG's Mario Games in general? I can't be certain what I'm disagreeing with ... LOL

Yeah, in the sense that it can't ever be copied. The Paper Marios attempted and didn't make it - although they're still good games.
Chrono Trigger is, by all means, my favourite game. Don't worry.

just so we're clear.... .... ... Chrono Trigger is my most favorite RPG ever, Suikoden in near second. But when I heard a CT Ress. project was going to GameCube I was about ready to buy the GCN. Name any PlayStation/X/2 game... CT on SNES beats it any day

Lets not rule out Dr.Mario, very addicting. Though its not an RPG.
