Re: Vice presedent shoots a man.
As a former hunter, nothing about that incident was Cheyney's fault. When you are hunting you HAVE to let everyone you are with know where you are at all times, especially when hunting quail.
BTW, that makes Cheyney the THIRD vice president to shoot a man...
God I love my country

Re: Vice presedent shoots a man.
Now the man has had a minor heart attack. And thus the plot thickens...

Re: Vice presedent shoots a man.
Damn, now my joke isn't so funny. I thought the guy was just slightly wounded (it was just birdshot afterall). I hope he pulls through and everything is OK. Sad to see any hunting accident happen but its always worse if its fatal.

Re: Vice presedent shoots a man.
I heard it caused irregular rhythms, not a heart attack.
Whatever, I really don't see why this is such a big deal. I mean, it's a hunting accident, and it makes no difference if it's the vice president. I mean, he did shoot a guy, but it was an accident.
Or wasn't it?

I agree that way too much is being made of this situation. It was an accident and the victim is a private citizen, who by the way, is entitled to some friggin' privacy both on a personal level and in their medical records. I will say that the incident should have been reported immediately, if only for the fact that it would have taken some of the wind out of the sails of some of the airheaded reporters who asked rediculous questions like "Will the Vice president now resign?"
As for whether it was intentional... of the victim was Al Gore, then I'd say that Cheyney shot him on purpose.
