Re: Rare's New Game: Viva Pinata
See now, I think it looks pretty damn sweet. My list of reasons for getting a 360 just keeps getting bigger and bigger. Sigh, now about the small sum of $400.

I am with both of you. I don't understand why everyone is hating on this.
I think it has some interesting potential and a graphic style all-its-own. The piņata style is dead on; that looks like a pretty good computer-generated piņata. BlueFire, not to pick on you, but have you never seen a piņata? The fur/feathers is the paper "feathers" or what have you that typically are covering a piņata -- ie. the game looks just like it. I feel like a Comic Book Guy explaining it like that, but I don't understand how you don't think that's a perfect/really good rendition of what piņatas look like.

Re: Rare's New Game: Viva Pinata
When I saw the graphics, I got this cosey feeling like I had with Rayman. I liked it. When I read about the gameplay, I was sold. Well, not that I'll buy it or a 360..... heck, I won't even buy a Revolution.
This can be a real hit. This sounds 10x as interesting as Kameo.

Re: Rare's New Game: Viva Pinata
i think it looks really good. we'll see if it develops into an interesting game, though. Rare never has a problem with graphics or ideas, its executing them as of late that hasn't been working as well.

Re: Rare's New Game: Viva Pinata
Yeah that's so true. This game can still go anywhere. Maybe in 2 years we'll finally play it and it's just an average game.....

..... wow...... I don't know what to think. It's all so... commercial. Not that it can't be... but oh whatever.

The graphic art style is still sweet, whether or not the game will actually be worth anything.

Re: Rare's New Game: Viva Pinata
When I think of it, I miss the 'adventure' in this game. Even Harvest Moon often has a story....
Do you play a character here? Or is it more like a strategy game?
