It brings out a perspective on why Nintendo does what they do. Keep things simplistic and you can get that "untapped" area to play. Grandma, dad, mom, etc...could effectively play the Wii with whatever comes about since it's not some controller with a mesh of buttons on it

But I think Nintendo doesn't expect to be #1 in the market. They want to make it radically different enough that people will buy a Wii alongside their PS3/360 to see just how different things really are.
